I have to agree. As usual, people are complaining about a lot of stuff (I know, it's a beta, and ideas and bug reports need to be brought up, but there's a difference between offering helpful feedback and just plain griping) so, good job, ArenaNet! Elona's beautiful, the new classes are sweet, the hero system ROCKS, and I'm eagerly awaiting templates in the retail version.

Anet has given us lots of things we asked for... Better henchie control, Better henchies period, and Ability to change professions on the fly (In Towns naturally) Running is still possible... Titles having Purposes...
There is still more I will not get into we have not seen, but I think everyone will be happy with Nightfall release...
There is still a Minor Quest problem here or there, but they are being reported and updated hourly during this event, so they do not cause a problem when it goes live...

When I got to Beknur Harbor just while exploring the area to the North of it, I was quite surprised.
If you enter the area from anywhere else you get a party size of 4 with henchmen at level... 6, maybe? If you enter from Beknur you get a party size of 8 with level 12 henchmen.
I'm quite happy to have a longer walk to get to some of the important primary quests rather than attempt them with half as many charcters ^^ but this does seem a trifle unbalanced. Almost like the starting town of the Droknar run having Southern Shiverpeaks-sized parties and henchment rather than North Shiverpeaks-sized.

WTF DID A-NET do to dervish with mysticism so nerfed that its useless i mean you gain 1 energy and 1 hp if ench ends every 3 rank put it back the old way dervish was overpowerd becouse of fast recharging ench not becouse of mysticism this is worse then making an assasin

Think it's great, much prefer the Paragon over the Dervish TBH, besides I cant se myself walking round looking ridiculous in the Armour the male Dervishes have to put up with - can only think of 1 word to describe how it looks......Crap.
Hope they do something with it in time for the main release.
Made a Necro to test the water with some new skills for when my Tyrian one goes across, and I just love the new Shambling and Jagged Horrors

My one and only complaint is that you level up too slowly. I've been spoiled by Factions, and now I can't stand this slow grind. No big deal, though, the actual gameplay you get to do makes up for it.
Best part of the event, however, was the quest Trial By Fire. Please please more quests like this please; it's the most unique and enjoyable quest out of the entire GW trilogy.

Anet should make levelling option for those who like to take it slow or fast. For me, Id prefer quick levelling and skip the boring part. After all life begins at 20 and thats where the real challenge is. Recently made Tyrian ranger and I ran to LA to get to Kaineng (even way before Factions I ran through my characters in Tyria (droks and desert run), except my first and second characters).

I personally like Nightfall, but not enough to buy it. The professions are okay and the graphics are great.

Most of my impressions match what other supporters have said, I will remark on the Sunspear title however.
First of all, i never had trouble getting points after figuring out the scout system, i just hit up every scout i passed by and massacred everything from point A to point b.
usualy in questing and heading to missions your bound to clear the trial no matter what, at least you get bonuses for it now.
basicly, you will have a harder time with the sunspear track if your not thorough, and its enjoyable to be through here since its so new, and it might be boring your sixth time around, but if you have other chars, you get three starting options and your bound to have a number of chars already, so... it could use tuning, but its great to me
and the Sunspear track does have some acomplishment to it, the highest known Teir has 5k points needed, and as far as a know as you progress the early areas shut off the scouts for you to prevent abuse, so its likley you get a good deal of those points through quests.
so now, we get another title of Pvw recongiton thats largly quest based, you could grind monstors if the scouts are not disabled... but it will take awhile.

i played nightfall only for a while mainly because i hated the desert sandy and dry environment and prefer the snowy land of shiverpeaks and the greens of pre-searing.
But i will still buy it, because even after playing just for an hour or two, THE STORYLINE IS FANTASTIC !
but note, i do not like the idea of sunspear promotion rank/title thingy where u have to reach higher rank for more quest to be available, it a tad of a grind really, lol

If this was the first GW game I'd probably buy it. I like the concept of giving orders to henchmen and heroes. And it looks much like the gameplay in Prophecy (for me a Pro!).
At the other hand: Its much more of the same for players who joined the game right at the start:
-As always, the difficulty level of maps depends on the number of partolling monsters. Is there really no other way to create a challenging map? (traps, a few hidden monsters, a real mean one now and than... but please make it feel less like a party in Warhammer alway fighting majorities...)
-Too little loot.
-Lacks the feeling that you actually improve skills/strenght compared to older chr's in older chapters.

I like the slower pace, gives more room to the quests.
but I fear this expansions is going to be costly. All the equipment for my heroes....
The sunspear title grind is nice, grinders will love it and so far it was not too obnoxious for me. (grindhater)
the voiceover is better than before, but the pieces I heard so far lack emotion.
the visuals are very good, very natural. but that Afro-dude with attitude a.k.a. Shaft's Brother a.k.a Koss, does not strike me as particularily Arabic.

Love it. Playing it all night. Finished preview (the blank screen had me pausing for a second). Finishing off secondary quests just for fun and giving away all my stuff. !

After my seond day of play:
The K and h menus need to be merged. The h menu serves no purpose other than showing factions and titles. It should be merged with K to form a super menu.
the paragon.. looks... not right. The Dervish looks much cooler. I mean, I - in a way - prefer the Paragon more, but I really hate how it looks. Dervish looks cool.
Paragon.. just doesnt.
The insland so far is cool. However, the armour upgrades seem to be happening to fast. I am enjoying the new quests as well. I do find I am dying quite often with my Dervish. Anyone got tips?

I'm not sure how I feel about the new chapter.
However I am VERY dissappointed that A.net nerfed the Mysticism attribute of the Dervish and hope that they undo this horrible mistake before release. The Dervish was a very good class as it was with some minor abusive things that could be fixed in other ways.
However, the Dervish got most of its durability from the gains due to the Mysticism attribute.
Now before we set into "you're not playing it right," yes, I am, I never said it was as fragile as the Assassin, I just said it's become another mediocre subclass as opposed to being on par with core classes.
I really hope A.Net changes the Mysticism attribute back to the stature it was. Please.
Good things, just so I don't seem like I'm focusing on one big issue I have:
-Scenery
-The NPC dialog is improving.
-The Hero system is more then I could have possibility hoped for.
-The new skills rock, but please, change Signet of Illusions to either a 1 second or less casting time, or make it not an Elite. One of the two.
-Agan the classes are awesome, but put the Dervish back where it was.

IMO nightfall looks good but thats about it.
hero's add unnecessary extra tinkering and i dont care about equiping and setting skills for a glorified hench, happy to sort my own gear out but not babysit an npc around.
gameplay just seems incredibly dull and the less said about having to talk to am million npc's in town to get things done the better, bring back the enter mission button.
needless to say i wont be getting nightfall, shame they fluked a great game in prophecies and cant replicate the original gw feeling.
